Dordogne: a man missing for 3 days found dead


A 22-year-old young man was found dead on Friday February 11 near Périgueux. He had disappeared earlier in the week, leaving his work in Marsac-sur-l’Isle (Dordogne).

Even if the prosecution “does not have at this stage details on the causes and circumstances of this death”, we know that the victim had disappeared during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, after midnight, “while he was leaving his service at McDonald’s.

Following this disappearance, a search had been organized during the week to find Loïc Douhot, whose disappearance had been quickly reported by his relatives, worried. His belongings were found in the parking lot at the back of the restaurant, on the ground near his parked car. After several days of research, the victim was found dead, “around 1:00 p.m., in the town of Chancelade” explained in a press release the public prosecutor of Périgueux Solène Belaouar.

The prosecution said that “examination of the body did not make it possible to determine the cause of death. In particular, he shows no apparent lesion or trace of violence.” The investigation was entrusted to the judicial police of Bordeaux and its branch in the Dordogne.
