Suonen expert Odilo Schmid and his passion

The history of the Suonen goes back to the 11th/12th century. Century. Their construction was risky and difficult. The gullies were either dug deep into the rock or built of wood. The network of canals stretches across the entire region, along steep rock faces or extensive hiking trails.

Around the Wiwanni-Horn above Ausserberg, hikers and climbers get their money’s worth. After the tour the loads Wiwanni-A hut to stay overnight. The hut is the pride of mountain guide and hut warden Egon Feller. He built it himself 35 years ago.
