Double specialization of talents is one of the elements most requested by SoD players, and good news: it should arrive in the next Phases of the Season of Discovery on WoW Classic. That’s what Nora Valletta (Lead Software Engineer) and
Josh Greenfield (Senior Game Producer), two responsible for the development of this alternative version of
World of Warcraft Classic, confirmed to us during an exclusive interview conducted by Gamosaurus. In this article we detail all the information obtained on this subject, and what we can deduce from it for the next Phases of SoD.

When will the Double Specialization of talents be on SoD?
This is, in short, the question we asked Nora Valletta (Lead Software Engineer) and Josh Greenfield (Senior Game Producer), two of the main people responsible for the Season of Discovery as well as the rest of the content on WoW Classic.
“We don’t have anything to officially announce at this time regarding a date, but you should probably expect it to be available in the future.”
Replied Nora Valletta.
Additionally, she added that she knew players were looking forward to dual talent specialization and that it was “ excited about what players will be able to discover in the next Phases of the game “.
In addition, Nora Valletta also explained that according to her teams, this option will probably be a method that will encourage players to spend their money (English players and developers talk about “ gold sink ), an important point in the balance of SoD.
At this point in the interview and giving a first indication of a release date for the Season of Discovery dual talent specialization, Josh Greenfield talked about saving up for the epic mount.
“Maybe try to save a little more than the amount planned for the epic mount”
Added Josh Greenfield with a laugh.
However, this answer seems to indicate that the double spec would not arrive before level 60 on SoD, given that the epic mount is only available at the last level on WoW Classic. Does this then mean that we would only be able to exit the double specialization of talents from Phase 4 of the Season of Discovery?
If the developers did not answer this question directly, leaving doubt, the clues placed in their answers nevertheless seem to think that the double specialization of talents will not be not available until SoD Phase 4. As a reminder, Phase 2 is currently limited to level 40, while Phase 3 should bring players up to level 50. Knowing that Phase 1 lasted almost 10 weeks, we will probably have to wait until the end of the summer to see Phase 4 and the double spec arrive.
