This scene located in the last episode of Double Trap (which is a hit on Netflix) was particularly tedious to shoot, if we are to believe the main actress, Michelle Keegan.

Double trap, it’s the series that keeps subscribers in suspense on Netflix. This adaptation of the eponymous novel by Harlan Coben – which could have been a film with this international star – is an effective and well-crafted thriller, until the final episode and the significant death of a character.
In an interview given to the English site Metro, actress Michelle Keegan (Maya) spoke about the different challenges she had to overcome during the filming of Double Trap. She explains in particular that she had to learn to fly in a helicopter, as she is airsick.
But she returns in detail to a scene that gave the whole team a hard time, the one where the heroine faces the Burkett family:
“The script for this scene was 14 pages long, which I had never seen in my career. Generally it is between 1 and a half pages or even three pages maximum. We were very much in this scene in question. We shot it several times, in chronological order so that it made sense and we could play the right emotion.”
A choice of staging which required the teams to exceed the legal number of working hours per day and to finish filming well after midnight: “They asked us if we were ready to “break” our contract and shoot at night.”
A result which seems to be up to par since this scene – teased by Coben himself well before the release of the series on Netflix – did not fail to make an impression on subscribers. It must be said that in the novel, Maya experiences a happier fate.
