Dragon Age: The Relentless Wolf will return to the continent of Thedas, “a lush land of harsh wilderness, vicious labyrinths and pristine cities – steeped in combat and secret spells” according to the description of the teaser. Three regions will open to players. In addition to the official visuals, BioWare asked artists from the community to illustrate the different biomes.

The overview begins with the principality of Antiva, a plutocratic region east of Thedas. The video focuses on the eponymous capital and its Ravens, a guild of spies watching over its rich palaces, its trading port and its Venetian canals. But his murderous protectors are on alert. The city, seen from the first teasers of the Morrison project, is distinguished by its tall towers and its night glow. Veterans will remember it through Zevran Arainai, a companion in Dragon Age: Origins who cut his teeth among said ravens.
The adventure will also cross the Rivain peninsula and its tropical shores (the world is well made), connected to the northeast of Antiva by a small strip of land. Once, Rivian was ruled by the Lords of Fortune, a wealthy guild of fearless and blameless adventurers exploring dungeons for breakfast. But the dragons awaken, and the coast is now ruled by the fire-eaters. Finally, to the west, we find the rocky escarpments of Anderfels, protected by three Shadow Wardens. The region is agitated by frequent earthquakes. On the horizon, the storm inevitably rises. The cause of these troubles is clearly not natural, and it will certainly be up to the protagonist to discover the source.
Festivities and celebrations
To properly celebrate Dragon Age Day, Electronic Arts is offering some goodies, starting with an official recipe book written by author Jessie Hassett and published by Insight Editions. Tutorials are available on the MisoHungrie YouTube channel.
And while we’re on the subject of feeding the hungry, BioWare is supporting food banks in Edmonton, Vancouver, Quebec and Texas this month. If you wish to participate, the studio offers you the opportunity to purchase a Humble Bundle listing all their digital comics in partnership with Dark Horse. The funds raised will go to the charity Child’s Play, which supports children in hospital by providing them with entertainment.
Dragon Age: The Relentless Wolf will appear on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a more exhaustive presentation planned for summer 2024. No release date has yet been mentioned. It must be said that the game went through chaotic development, including at least one complete restart, and that its team experienced a nice turnover that would make the fast-food industry pale. BioWare mobilized the Mass Effect team and recruited captain Mark Darrah to bring the project to fruition.
