Dragon Ball Super: voices of Persona 5 and Kingdom Hearts in the cast of the film Super Hero

The next animated film using the Dragon Ball Super license continues its teasing exercise as promised, and reveals those who will play some of its protagonists.

After delivering a first trailer and, more recently, the movie poster, Toei Animation continues to prepare the ground for the release of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero in 2022. As if to respect a long-established tradition in the history of the series (and of the Japanese title), the studio announces today the subtitle of the feature film, as well as some of the seiyū who will lend their voices to the new characters of this new chapter:

We don’t need a Super Hero

In Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero – The birth of the new Red Ribbon Army! (therefore), players will be able to find some voices already heard here and there in several video game productions. Here is how it unfolds:

  • Doctor hedo, the character dressed as a super hero, is a scientist who has fun like one of his famous colleagues to create androids. He will be played by the actor Miyu Irino, the voice of Sora in the Kingdom Hearts series
  • Magenta, in a cleverly fitting suit, is the president of Red Pharmaceuticals, the showcase that the Red Ribbon Army officially offers to the public. He will be played by the actor Kensuke “Volcano” Ōta, which doubles Nagamasa in the adaptation anime by My Hero Academia
  • Carmine, the (very) great driver and assistant of Magenta, will be embodied by Ryota takeuchi, the voice of Darui in the anime version of Naruto Shippuden or Reaper in Overwatch

Despite these few details on the “humans” of the next Dragon Ball Super film, the two mysterious warriors of the Red Ribbon Army still retain all their mystery. For now, only their actors are known:

  • Gamma 1 will be embodied by Mamoru miyano, a regular of J-RPG, since he will have lent his voice to the cheeky Ryuji in Persona 5, and to the very respectful Ignis in Final Fantasy XV
  • Gamma 2 will be embodied by Hiroshi kamiya, the voice of Levi Ackerman in Attack on Titan, and Trafalgar Law in the version anime by One Piece

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero announced for April 22, 2022 in Japan, and later in the rest of the world Dragon World.
