What is Square Enix preparing for us this summer? The publisher has sown many questions in the minds of fans of the Dragon Quest franchise, on the occasion of the 36th anniversary of the series. To celebrate the date, a trailer for the next Dragon Quest Treasures has been unveiled. The problem is that it raises more questions than it answers! At the end of the clip, we can indeed learn that more information about the game will come in June 2022.
What about release and platforms?
Dragon Quest Treasures is still full of mysteries, since we don’t know the game’s release date, or even on what platforms it will be playable. In view of the trailer, there is a good chance that it will be functional on Switch, IOS and Android. But we can also imagine that this is an exclusively mobile game, some fans even predicting a gatcha reserved for our phones!
It’s going to hunt treasure
The trailer is rather concise, but we can still learn more about the very enigmatic title to come. Dragon Quest Treasures will apparently be set as a spin-off of Dragon Quest XI: Fighters of Destiny, which was released on Switch several years ago. It therefore features the characters of Erik and Mia, and the developers have since confirmed that it will indeed be a “treasure hunt” RPG.
