Drake Bell was wanted by police as “missing and at risk” but was found shortly afterwards. Now the reason for the action is known.

There is more and more clarity about Drake Bell’s (36) short-term missing person report. After the police publicly searched for the actor on Thursday as “missing and in danger”, the reason for the officials’ action is now known. As the US portal “TMZ” reports, authorities assumed Bell could harm himself. This was previously stated by his family during an emergency call, according to a published conversation between two officials. Accordingly, there was an argument between Bell and his wife, at the end of which he threatened to commit suicide before disappearing.

During the conversation, a police officer asks his colleague to find out the location of Bell’s cell phone in order to locate him. The reasons for the measures are also given below. Bell told his wife he would get drunk and hang himself. “Basically, this is a celebrity who has had a falling out with his wife,” the official continued. The Daytona Beach Police Department publicly searched for Bell including Facebook post with picture and description. Bell was staying in a hotel room in Orlando, Florida, while his family is on the west coast of California.

Drake Bell is already reporting on Twitter

A few hours after the social media call, police updated her post to say they were in contact with Bell and that he was safe. On Friday joked Bell on Twitter about the action and wrote there: “You leave your cell phone in the car and don’t answer it at night and then that?” He also posted a laughing emoji.

Bell was internationally known through the Nickelodeon show “Drake & Josh”. The comedy series aired from 2004 to 2007. In July 2021, the actor made headlines when he was accused by a then 15-year-old of harassing her with messages. As a result, he was sentenced to two years probation and 200 hours of community service.

According to media reports, his marriage to actress Janet von Schmeling broke up at the end of 2022. The two have a son together.
