In a serious accident on Sunday evening in Pöllau (Styria), any help came too late for all three people involved. The force of the collision threw both vehicles several meters off the road. A 17-year-old and a married couple died at the scene of the accident.
On Sunday around 8:15 p.m. a tragic traffic accident occurred on Schloffereckstrasse (L406) between Köppelreith and Pöllau. For reasons that are still unclear, two oncoming cars collided head-on. Both vehicles were thrown into an adjacent field due to the force of the collision. The following vehicle drivers immediately called the emergency number. Died at the scene of the accident. 45 emergency services from the Pöllau fire department, 13 emergency services, as well as an emergency doctor and the C17 rescue helicopter quickly arrived at the scene of the accident. For the three people involved in the accident, a couple (61, 59) from the Hartberg-Fürstenfeld district, and a young person (17) from the Weiz district, any help came too late. A crisis intervention team has been set up for the relatives. Cause still unclear According to the investigating officers, the cause of the accident is currently still unclear. The Graz public prosecutor released the bodies for burial.
