While he was traveling to Argentina for the filming of the show dropped, the helicopter in which Alexis Vastine was riding struck a second one, above the Villa Castelli. Ten people died instantly, including three athletes: sailor Florence Arthaud, Olympic swimmer Camille Muffat and young Norman boxer Alexis Vastine. Following this tragedy, six people were indicted for manslaughter, including the production company ALP (Adventures Line Producers). Eight years after the events, the families of the victims are still hoping to get answers and, a few days ago, it was Alexis Vastine’s father who shared a video on Facebook. “Nothing is forgotten, we are waiting for the trial“, declares the relatives of the young man in this one. Indeed, if the investigation was officially stopped in December, the civil parties hope that the defendants will be referred to the criminal court very soon. For those close to Alexis Vastine, the production company bears some responsibility. I think that the necessary has not been done for safety”, said the young man’s father. For those close to Alexis Vastine, this trial would be a real relief. “It’s always the same: it’s for the money… You have to save money, take the cheapest helicopters, the pilots were not suitable for these helicopters, etc…”, he explained before continuing that his daily life is a real ordeal. “Besides, they had no compassion towards us, not even a little word to support us in our grief… Nothing! “, he later lamented. However, Alain Vastine will have to be patient since no date has been set for the moment. It’s already been eight years. It’s long, long, long… There should be laws on it, it hurts people.” he assured before adding: “It’s not going to make me my child this trial, but I’m waiting for the truth”.
