Greenpeace protests against Sunak’s energy policy

In Richmond, activists climb onto the roof of Rishi Sunak’s home and wrap it in black fabric. Greenpeace is protesting against the Prime Minister’s energy policy. However, the British government is not thinking of giving in.
In the UK, Greenpeace activists have wrapped Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s private home in black fabric. The environmental protection organization announced that the campaign was intended to protest against its energy policy. On the short message service X, formerly known as Twitter, Greenpeace published photos showing four activists on the roof of the building.
Two others stand in front of the property, holding a banner that reads “RISHI SUNAK – OIL PROFITS OR OUR FUTURE?” (Rishi Sunak – Oil profits or our future?) into the picture. A government official in London said about the protest action that they would not apologize for the right to secure the energy supply.
Sunak’s government issued over 100 new licenses for oil and gas exploration in the North Sea on Monday. The government also announced plans for controversial underground CO2 storage in two areas in Scotland and northern England.
