This is rare even for police officers: after an alcohol driver’s license was taken away, he continued driving – and caused an accident.
On January 13th, shortly after 8 a.m., a 23-year-old from Lavanttal skidded in his car on the A 2 Südautobahn near Haimburg, in the direction of Wolfsberg, and hit the guardrail. Fortunately, this traffic accident only caused material damage. An alcohol test on the driver was positive. During the course of the survey, it was found that the man’s driver’s license had been provisionally revoked at around 3:30 a.m. in the city of Klagenfurt because he was driving his car while intoxicated!
