Driver’s license lost – speeder drove through the local area at 100 km/h

Gone was his driving license: a 24-year-old Romanian raced through the Geidorf district of Graz at 100 km/h on Monday evening. When the police stopped him, he described his behavior as “stupid.”

For a 24-year-old Romanian, his joyride ended on Monday evening with his driving license being revoked. At half past nine in the evening he drove from Grabenstrasse towards the Calvary Belt. In the underpass he accelerated his vehicle to almost 100 km/h. 50 km/h over the prescribed speed limit! Described his action as “stupid” Police officers from the Andritz police station caught him doing his dangerous maneuver – they were carrying out speed measurements. When he stopped, the 24-year-old showed understanding and described his action as “stupid”. Still, it cost him his driver’s license.
