Drunk man caught – couple threatened with pistol in Tyrolean gas station

Police operation on Tuesday afternoon at a gas station in Kirchbichl in the Tyrolean district of Kufstein: A drunk man (52) is said to have threatened the cashier and her boyfriend with a blank pistol. Shortly before 4 p.m., the 52-year-old local caused a stir in the gas station. As the police reported, the man threatened a 25-year-old and her boyfriend (31) with a blank pistol. When “Krone” asked, it was said that the female victim was the cashier. Arrest at the gas station area “As part of the search measures that were immediately initiated, the suspect was arrested by the police at the gas station area,” said the investigators. The blank pistol that the 52-year-old had in his jacket pocket was confiscated. However, it was apparently not an (attempted) robbery – rather, it was probably pure bragging. Because: “Due to witness statements that the man had bragged about owning weapons several times in the past, a voluntary inspection was carried out at his home address,” the investigators continue. Further weapons and ammunition were seized. Additional weapons and ammunition parts were confiscated . According to the police, the 52-year-old confessed and will be reported to the responsible authorities for dangerous threats and other administrative violations. The suspect was said to have been drunk at the time of the crime.
