Thomas Gottschalk will follow in Dieter Bohlen’s footsteps – at least temporarily. He supports the “DSDS” jury in the live shows.

Dieter Bohlen (67) will not attend the two “DSDS” live shows on March 27th and April 3rd. He leaves his chief juror position early due to illness. In pairs, Mike Singer (21, “Deja Vu”) and Maite Kelly (41) will not have to sit at the jury desk. Entertainer Thomas Gottschalk (70) supports the two spontaneously.

How did the surprising engagement come about? “RTL asked me and I agreed spontaneously,” says Gottschalk. “Firstly, one titan won’t let the other down and, secondly, I had nothing better to do.” Since the outcome of the show is “with the audience anyway”, the 70-year-old cannot “do anything wrong” with the job in his own opinion.

The semifinals of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” (also at TVNow) runs on Saturday, March 27th, at 8:15 p.m. on RTL. Oliver Geissen (51) moderates. The final will take place one week later, on April 3rd, also at prime time.
