During CES 2023, Asus ROG also made announcements with several new laptops. Among them, the Zephyrus Duo range, recognized for its dual screen, is getting updated, with the arrival of the ROG Zephyrus Duo 16.
Asus is not to be outdone on the side of announcements at CES 2023, which is currently taking place in Las Vegas, with its brand dedicated to video games, Republic Of Gamers. After a first version released in 2020 with the Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 (GX550) which convinced us, the concept of the additional screen no longer needs to be proven.
ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 updates
Now, the ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 (GX650) features the latest AMD processors, up to the 16-core Ryzen 9 Zen 4, as well as the latest Nvidia graphics cards, up to the RTX 4090. Asus claims to have taken care of the cooling part of this gaming laptop PC while guaranteeing a thin chassis. The manufacturer is helped by this second screen which creates air currents. To talk about connectivity, there is Wi-Fi 6E and a 2.5 Gb / s Ethernet port.
Components supplemented by RAM in DDR5 with 64 GB (two slots). This is also the case for storage thanks to two slots for PCIe SSDs, with 2 TB included as standard. On the connector side, there are two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports (including a PowerDelivery for charging at 100 W), an HDMI 2.1 port, a microSD port, an Ethernet port as well as a a jack port. As for the webcam, it offers a 1080p definition. There are also six speakers to provide quality sound, with two tweeters and four woofers.
A dual screen always there for productivity and comfort
When playing, having two screens is more comfortable, to have your game open on one side and your music or chat rooms on the other. The Zephyrus Duo 16 has a second screen located between the keyboard and the main screen, with 4K definition; it covers 100% of sRGB and has a maximum brightness of 400 cd/m².
As for the main screen, this year it has the Nebula Display label, which guarantees:
- A response time of 3 ms maximum;
- A brightness of at least 500 cd/m²;
- 100% DCI-P3 coverage.
This main screen adopts a 16:10 format in Mini LED with a QHD + definition and a refresh rate of 240 Hz, which can make your mouth water.
The machine weighs a total of 2.6 kg for a thickness of 20.9 mm. It has a 90 Wh battery, which can be recharged at a power of 330 W using the supplied charger. We can also recharge this new ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 in USB-C up to 110 W.

Asus indicates that the ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 will be available this quarter from 4,499 euros at its partner resellers as well as on its website.
