Who made the allegedly racist comments about Meghan and Harry’s son? A new book wants to find out.
palace insider have denied rumors according to “Mail Online”., who circulated a new book about Duchess Camilla (75). It claims that the Duchess of Cornwall jokingly said to Prince Harry (37) about his then unborn son with Duchess Meghan (40): It would be “funny” if he had “red Afro hair”.
The claim comes from Tom Bower’s (75) work “Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the war between the Windsors”. The book was published yesterday Thursday (July 21). According to media reports, Meghan in particular, who is said to be described as “egocentric, manipulative and demanding”, comes off badly.
Who made the comment about Archie?
Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan themselves made it public that there was a racist comment about their first unborn child Archie (3). They had stepped down as senior royals in early 2020 and moved to California, Meghan’s homeland. With US talk show legend Oprah Winfrey (68) they chatted on TV in March 2021 in front of an audience of millions about royal family matters. Among them was the racist slogan about Archie. According to Meghan, there were concerns about “how dark his skin could be when he was born”.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex did not name a name in the TV interview. Winfrey later stressed that she was instructed by the Sussexes to clarify that the spell did not come from Harry’s grandparents, Queen Elizabeth II (96) and Prince Philip (1921-2021). Since then, Royal fans have been puzzled as to who might be behind it. Bowers’ claims that Camilla joked about Archie’s hair are just the latest in a long line of rumors about it. Royal sources called the allegations against Camilla “nonsense”, according to “Mail Online”. The palace itself has not yet commented.
Tom Bower’s new book includes more royal rumours. Among other things, the author claims that Queen Elizabeth II is said to have been happy that Duchess Meghan did not come with Prince Harry for Prince Philip’s funeral in April 2021. Meghan was pregnant at the time with the couple’s second child, little Lilibet, 1, who was born in June. “Thank God Meghan isn’t coming,” Bower reportedly told officials before the funeral. According to media reports, insiders also consider this unlikely.
