Duchess Camilla: Royal welcomes Emmanuel Macron with sun hat and umbrella

Duchess Camilla (72) elegantly defies British weather. When she met French President Emmanuel Macron (42) at her Clarence House residence in London yesterday, she greeted him with an umbrella and sun hat. A combination that did not seem to match at first, but the wife of Prince Charles (71) presented the look confidently.

Duchess Camilla had chosen the accessories to match the rest of the outfit. The colors of the hat were reflected in her black and beige pumps, the colorless shade moved into the background through the blue lace dress. To this end, the wife of the British heir to the throne combined a multi-link pearl necklace and black leather gloves.

Macron on the road again

The background to the meeting was the historic BBC broadcast Charles de Gaulles (1890-1970), in which on June 18, 1940 he called on the French from London to continue fighting alongside the Allies. For Macron, it was the first trip abroad since the corona virus pandemic began. Pictures and videos on Instagram show the highlights of his visit to Clarence House.
