Bad news from the British royal family: Duchess Catherine has to be quarantined. All scheduled appointments are canceled.

“Last week the Duchess of Cambridge came into contact with someone who subsequently tested positive for COVID-19. Her Royal Highness does not experience any symptoms, but is following all relevant government guidelines and isolating herself at home,” said a palace spokesman.

Although Duchess Catherine (39) has already been vaccinated against the coronavirus twice, she has to isolate herself at home.

Duchess Catherine: She got the bad news on Friday

According to the spokesman, the 39-year-old was alerted on Friday (July 2, 2021) and has been in quarantine since then. Apparently, the Duchess got the bad news immediately after her appointment at Wimbledon, while visiting the tennis tournament, she still looked happy and very relaxed.

Now all the Duchess’s planned appointments have to be canceled, including the meeting with employees of the British health system that is scheduled for this afternoon: she will take place without her.
