Chic doesn’t always mean comfortable; Duchess Catherine has to experience this from time to time. Prince William’s wife impresses with her minimalist and classic fashion style. But in between things can be a little more pompous, for example at Christmas 2019.

At that time, Duchess Catherine, 39, showed taste not only with her own outfit, but also with the whole family. It was the first time that Prince George, 8, and Princess Charlotte, 6, were allowed to attend the Christmas service on Boxing Day in Sandringham with their parents.

Duchess Catherine’s outfit was right down to the smallest detail

The Duchess of Cambridge opted for a gray coat by Catherine Walker with faux fur elements, combined with a waist belt, chic suede pumps and a clutch from Emmy London, which were perfectly coordinated with the green color of her fascinator. Princess Charlotte was in a cute partner look with her mother and wore a wool coat in the same shade of green.

But as perfect as this appearance looked outwardly, Catherine herself had her problems with her style. This has now been revealed by a fan of the Royals. 19-year-old Rachel Anvil came to Sandringham with her mother and was lucky enough to be able to exchange a few sentences with the Duchess.

Wrong outfit choice for a warm winter day

On December 25th, 2019 it was unusually warm, the sun was shining and so Kate complained to Rachel about the choice of the thick coat, as her mother Karen Anvil told “Metro”: “Kate talked to my daughter about clothes and that was too hot for her. She said, ‘I really shouldn’t have worn this.’ “

This year, Duchess Catherine will surely find out in advance what temperatures will be on Boxing Day. Queen Elizabeth, 95, plans to revive the tradition of the Christmas service after it was canceled last year due to Corona. It is believed that Prince Louis, 3, will also be there for the first time.
