Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry enjoy dinner with Eugenie and Jack

Prince Harry, 37, has not been seen laughing so heartily for a long time. Together with Duchess Meghan, 40, and his cousin Princess Eugenie, 31, and husband Jack Brooksbank, 35, the royal spent a fun evening in a restaurant in Santa Barbara last weekend. Resourceful photographers had spotted the blue-blooded quartet and documented with their snapshots how well Queen Elizabeth’s grandson, 95, is doing in familiar company.

The royal foursome had apparently taken a seat on the terrace of the restaurant of their exclusive choice without hesitation. A transparent plastic film didn’t protect the four from prying eyes, but it did protect them from the cool evening breeze. Harry and Meghan apparently had a lovely chat with their relatives. Funny stories and uproarious laughter apparently alternated in a balanced way with intensive conversations and serious faces. Can the Sussexes be persuaded to make a quick visit to Great Britain? Only Eugenie and Jack know the answer.

Duchess Catherine arrives in Copenhagen

Your last solo trip on behalf of the crown was already five years ago. Now Duchess Catherine, 40, is alone again. Her tour of Denmark will take Prince William’s wife, 39, first to Copenhagen, where she will be welcomed by Emma Hopkins, the British Ambassador to Denmark, on Tuesday afternoon, February 22, 2022. In a red blazer and black pants, the Brit is in a good mood and waves to the waiting onlookers.

“Ambassador Hopkins is delighted to welcome the Duchess of Cambridge to Denmark. A fantastic start to a double jubilee year for Queen Elizabeth and Queen Margrethe,” said the British Embassy’s Twitter account for a first recording of the meeting. After her arrival, the royal will first visit the University of Copenhagen to learn more about the “Infant Mental Health” project. In conversations with researchers, she learns how to recognize whether an infant is at risk of negative social and emotional development.

The 40-year-old will be in the Danish capital for two days to represent her charity Early Year Foundation and honor the Queen’s platinum anniversary. It is the second time the Duchess is visiting Denmark. She was last there shortly after her wedding in 2011.

Prince Harry: Security discussion should be kept confidential

In January 2022 it was revealed that Prince Harry, 37, has taken legal action to obtain police protection for himself and his family when visiting the UK. Harry actually lost that privilege when he stepped down as Senior Royal in March 2020. But the 37-year-old no longer feels safe in his homeland without this protection and pleads in court that he inherited a certain security risk at birth.

Now it has become known that the Duke of Sussex actually tried to keep the discussion about police protection secret. According to the Mail on Sunday, Supreme Court documents show the 37-year-old has sought a sweeping confidentiality order on documents and testimonies related to his lawsuit against the government. However, this was rejected by the Ministry of the Interior. The prince’s legal team eventually agreed to the release of some documents, but a “confidentiality check” was carried out.

Prince Philip: New exhibition honors his commitment

After Prince Philip died on April 9, 2021 at the age of 99, the prince consort will now receive a special honor. His ceremonial military uniform will be on display in an exhibition to honor his longstanding role as Colonel in the Royal Gloucestershire, Berkshire and Wiltshire Regiments. The black uniform is the centerpiece of the new exhibition at The Rifles Berkshire and Wiltshire Museum in Salisbury and is the only ceremonial uniform worn by the Duke at various events up until 2007 [2007 fusionierte das Regiment mit den Rifles, Anm. d. Red.].

“The exhibition shows something of the Prince’s character. Always engaging and interested, he attended parades and other events organized by the regiment, met serving soldiers and their families, engaged in lively conversations with old comrades, and enthusiastically participated in whatever was going on went,” explains a spokesman for the museum. “When he was made Colonel in the Wiltshires in 1953, the regiment sent a letter of thanks to the Queen, which can be seen in the exhibition. They were rightly delighted, but few would have predicted that he would remain in that capacity for 67 years .”

The late Duke of Edinburgh led the Wiltshire and Berkshire infantry regiments for 67 years before being succeeded by Duchess Camilla, 74, in a moving handover ceremony at Windsor Castle in 2020.
