Is Duchess Meghan working on her biography? If experts are to be believed, Prince Harry’s wife is already having initial discussions about a new book. And stands out because of his angry and surprised reactions.

Almost a year after the release of “Spare” there is a lot of buzz about a new project from Duchess Meghan, 42, speculates: According to rumors, the former actress will follow the example of Prince Harry, 39, and work on her own biography. In recent weeks, the British “Express” in particular has focused heavily on possible topics that Meghan could address in her book. But before her memoirs are published, the Duchess first has to write them – and according to reports, she is already reaching her first limits at this step.

Duchess Meghan doesn’t want to deliver? “A woman like her doesn’t understand”

The journalist and author Angela Levin has already published two books about members of the Royal Family. She has a particularly close relationship with Queen Camilla, 76. And so it hardly seems surprising that she is not always well disposed towards Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan. In an interview with GB News, Levin speculates about a possible biography of the Duchess – and seems convinced that Meghan has already had serious discussions and the first steps towards a book. The sticking point, however, is said to be a demand from a publisher that Meghan didn’t want to – or couldn’t – comply with.

According to Levin, there are already several people interested in Meghan’s book. “The publishers said they wanted to see three chapters before offering money,” explains the journalist. This demand made Duchess Meghan “angry”. “A woman like her wouldn’t understand that most people who write a book get asked that first.”

Duchess Meghan “doesn’t want to be just an ordinary person”

What is a common practice in the industry is said to have upset the Duchess. Many publishers ask potential authors to make a few chapters available for reading in advance. This allows publishers to check the quality of the texts and know whether the material fits into their publisher’s program – or not. Angela Levin is convinced of Duchess Meghan: “She doesn’t want to be just an ordinary person who has her texts checked.”

Since leaving the Royal Family, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have worked on a variety of different projects. Their repertoire includes, among other things, their Netflix documentary, Harry’s memoir “Spare”, Meghan’s Spotify podcast; all highly paid projects for which they signed well-paying contracts with other companies. And they ensure that the Sussexes’ work ethic is subsequently questioned. A high-ranking Spotify boss only raged against the couple in June 2023. It was also said in the summer that Harry and Meghan had only fulfilled half of their Netflix contract so far. At that time, the couple was still waiting for part of their payment, supposedly because other “interesting content” was still missing.

After all: Duchess Meghan has already published a book. Her children’s book “The Bench” was published on June 8, 2021. As with her possible biography, this work was criticized in advance, but for different reasons. Only time can tell whether Duchess Meghan will publish her memoirs.
