Meghan made an awkward mistake at the Invictus Games. When painting with children, she wrote the Ukrainian flag the wrong way round.

Duchess Meghan (40) made an embarrassing mistake when appearing on the sidelines of the Invictus Games (April 16-22) in The Hague, Netherlands.

When she visited the British Embassy’s tent on Sunday and painted there with small children, a photo was taken that showed her writing on a painted yellow and blue Ukraine flag. How among other things on the embassy’s Twitter page can be seen, the American wife of Prince Harry (37) wrote “peace” on the picture. She placed the “peace” on the blue part of the flag – and this was on her bottom, ie the wrong way around.

The sky above the wheat field

The national flag of Ukraine consists of a yellow band with a blue one above it. The light blue represents the sky and the golden yellow represents the country’s wheat fields.

Invictus Games in the Netherlands

The Invictus Games hold special meaning for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. At the third edition in 2017 in Toronto, Canada, Prince Harry caused a surprise: he had his first official appearance with his future wife Meghan. The 2018 Games then took place in Sydney. Both Prince Harry and Meghan were there again.
