Dune 2: hold your breath! Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya promise us great things!

Dune 2, expected in cinemas on November 1st, has just revealed some impressive new images!

The return to Arrakis promises to be daunting! On November 1, the second part of Dune will land in the cinema, still worn by Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya.

Directed by Denis Villeneuve, the first part of this adaptation of Frank Herbert’s novel was released on September 15, 2021. It had collected 400 million dollars in greenbacks at the global box office for a budget of 165 million. In France, the adventures of Paul Atreides attracted 3.1 million spectators.

After the events of the first opus, the hero was welcomed by the Fremen, the rebellious tribe that hides in the arid desert of Arrakis. The sequel will explore the mythical journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while plotting his revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Faced with choosing between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he strives to prevent a terrible future that only he can predict.

This new trailer finally shows us Christopher Walken! The legendary comedian has slipped into the costume of the great villain of the saga, Emperor Shaddam IV. He faces Paul Atreides, leader of the rebellion, camped by Timothée Chalamet.

We also see another major Dune antagonist, Feyd Rautha. This fearsome warrior is played by Austin Butler, revealed in the biopic Elvis. Around Timothée Chalamet, we will find Zendaya (Chani), Josh Brolin (Gurney), Rebecca Ferguson (Lady Jessica), Javier Bardem (Stilgar), Charlotte Rampling (Mohiam), Dave Bautista (Rabban) and Stellan Skarsgård, who embodies the relentless Baron Harkonnen.

Léa Seydoux will also be there in the role of Lady Margot. Another French will also arrive on Arrakis: Souheila Yacoub. She will play Shishakli, a Fremen warrior from Sietch Tabr. For her part, Florence Pugh will camp Princess Irulan Corrino.

Dune Part 2 hits the big screen on November 1, 2023.
