Bad news for Dune fans! The second part of the saga led by Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya has been postponed to 2024 due to the strike in Hollywood. It was slated to hit theaters on November 1.

This is news dreaded by all Dune fans that has just fallen! According to varietythe second part of the film adaptation directed by Denis Villeneuve has been postponed because of the writers’ and actors’ strike which is paralyzing Hollywood at the moment.

The Warner Bros studio. believes that the release of the film, initially scheduled for November 1, would be weighed down by the lack of promotion on the part of the actors and actresses. Indeed, the latter do not have the right to grant interviews during the strike.

Dune 2 should therefore land in France on March 13, 2024 instead of November 1, 2023. Directed by Canadian Denis Villeneuve, the first part of this adaptation of Frank Herbert’s novel was released on September 15, 2021.

She had collected 400 million dollars of green tickets at the world box office for a budget of 165 million. In France, the adventures of Paul Atreides attracted 3.1 million spectators.
