Dunja Hayali is the next protagonist in the Sky documentary series “Her Story”. She also shows her vulnerable side.

Standing in front of the camera is nothing unusual for Dunja Hayali (47). Whether in the ZDF “Morgenmagazin”, her own talk show or the “current sports studio”: The 47-year-old clearly expresses her opinion on TV and comes across as tough and brave. In the new episode of the Sky documentary series “Her Story”, which portrays female role models, the presenter shows herself from a completely different, much more personal side.

Dunja Hayali speaks in “Her Story” about the death of her parents

In 60 minutes, Dunja Hayali gives an insight into her morning office life on ZDF and her friendly relationship with co-moderator Mitri Sirin (50), speaks openly about the illness and death of her parents, the special relationship with her dog Wilma, as well as the close one Bond with her older sister.

The camera team accompanies Hayali, among other things, as she gets into conversation with the participants in a Berlin corona demo – until the situation escalates. In addition, the daughter of Iraqi immigrants speaks about the numerous hate messages, letters and death threats that flutter into her every day. In addition, companions like ZDF presenter Claus Kleber (66), who reminds of Hayali’s beginnings at the station, have their say. “We’ve never had one like that,” he recalls.

In the first season of “Her Story”, Sky accompanied entertainer Barbara Schöneberger (47) and model Stefanie Giesinger (25), among others. The episode with Dunja Hayali is available from Thursday, November 11th, on Sky Documentaries and Sky Ticket as well as on Sky Q.
