Emily Blunt and her Jungle Cruise co-star Dwayne Johnson amused colleagues and fans with a backstage moment at the Academy Awards.
Emily Blunt (40) met her “Jungle Cruise” co-star (2021) Dwayne Johnson (50) again at the Oscars on Sunday at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles. A spontaneous backstage moment, which, among other things, the Academy on her Twitter account published, amuses the colleagues and many fans.
Johnson and Blunt attended the event to present the award for Best Animated Feature. Emily cracked a few jokes about the ‘Moiana’ star’s love of animated films before reading Pinocchio, 58, to Guillermo Del Toro as the winner. The duo joked around throughout the event. The climax came backstage, however, when the muscular US giant sat down on the petite Brit’s lap as if it were the most normal thing in the world for the unlikely couple.
Another joint film is being planned
According to The Hollywood Reporter A sequel to Jungle Cruise has been in the works since 2021. Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt are rumored to be reprising their roles as Frank Wolff and Dr. Resume Lily Houghton. The previous film was moderately successful, barely grossing the $200 million production budget.
