Dwayne Johnson urges: Even the strongest action hero and his entire family are not immune to the corona virus.
As in Germany, there are many people in the USA who still deny the danger of the coronavirus or even its existence. Hollywood superstar Dwayne Johnson (48, "Rampage: Big Meets Bigger") has now directed warning words to all of them and to his numerous fans on Instagram. Because not only he himself recently contracted Covid-19 – but his entire family.
In the approximately 12-minute long video, "The Rock" reports in a serious tone: "My wife Lauren, as well as my two little girls and myself, all tested positive for Covid-19. I can tell you that this is one of the most challenging and difficult Situations that we as a family have ever had to go through. " As a former wrestler, he has often "got his ass spanked", but no low blow in the past has even come close to being comparable to the worries he has had for his loved ones in the past few days.
Everyone is fine again
"I wish only I had tested positive. But it hit my entire family, which was a big blow to the stomach." His two daughters Jasmine (4) and Tiana (2) therefore had only very mild symptoms, while he and his wife were hit harder. Only his eldest daughter Simone (19) seems to have been spared the disease. He is therefore all the happier to be able to say that they are all out of the woods and no longer contagious. Not all of his most important people would have been so lucky – "Some of my best friends have lost their parents, their loved ones."
The Johnsons were infected through "very close family friends" who themselves do not know where they got the virus from. So his message to his followers: "Protect your family. Be strict when it comes to inviting people into your house or arranging meetings." But also: "Stay optimistic and take care of your fellow men."
In the future, he will only allow people into his house who have previously taken a corona test. Because only with discipline you can defy the virus – and by wearing a mask: "I am confused that some people out there, including some politicians, turn wearing a mask into a political issue. It has nothing to do with politics. Wear your mask. It's a fact and the right thing to do. "
