Dying Light 2: Copies are already circulating, Techland asks to wait for the day one patch

February is off to a strong start with the release of the highly anticipated Dying Light 2 this week. And as you might expect with every game release event like this, copies of the titles are already circulating in the wild, thanks to resellers a little ahead of time. Techland is well aware of this, and wished to warn the first purchasers of the game that the experience will be better while waiting for the official release.

A life-saving patch?

In a post on social media, the studio warns that even if you own the game right now, it’s best to wait for the day one patch:

We kindly ask that you wait until February 4th when you will be able to access all the improvements and fixes implemented over the past few weeks with the day one patch. This is how Dying Light 2 was designed to be played. »

The patch therefore promises to improve some problems, and it is therefore better to wait for its release to be entitled to a cleaner experience. The pre-loading of the game has also started if you want to get a little head start, and be ready for the official release this Friday.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human will be available on February 4, 2022 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series.
