Experience Dying Light 2 promises to be intense and immersive, especially since it can be played cooperatively with up to four players. Unfortunately, and contrary to what we might have thought, Techland has no plans to introduce cross-play when the title is released, thus prohibiting players who are not on the same platform from playing together. Tymon Smektała, creative director, specifies thatno cross-play functionality will be available this February 4, even between two consoles of the same family, but not of the same generation.
Nevertheless, aware that cross-play can be a real plus to encourage players to start a game together, Techland should introduce it in the weeks after the publication of the title. No further details were provided, but Tymon Smektała says the teams are working to ” make it possible after launch “. Let’s hope for those who wish to discover this new adventure together, but who are not on the same platform, that cross-play will not take too long to be implemented.
As a reminder, Techland recently announced that Dying Light 2 will be supported for five years, with various DLCs and updates, with the goal of bringing new stories and other equally interesting things to the community.
