The French esports team Vitality announced on Wednesday the death of its Valorant player Karel Asenbrener, alias “Twisten”, at just 19 years old. “It is with infinite sadness and heavy hearts that we learned of the passing of our Valorant player Karel ‘Twisten’ Asenbrener last night,” the club said on their social media.
Vitality, leading esports team in France, did not specify the cause of death of the Czech player but shared a message on the importance of mental health. The player had recently revealed to suffer from depression.
