On June 13, Lidl will be offering a Zündapp e-mountain bike for just 999 euros. We take a close look at the offer for you.

In the Lidl online shop there are daily specials that change every day. On June 13th, an e-bike will be available at a reduced price, more precisely an e-mountain bike from Zündapp.
The bike has 27.5-inch wheels and a wheel hub motor in the rear wheel that supports you with up to 35 Newton meters. That’s relatively little – at least if you’re traveling in hilly terrain or mountainous regions. In flat regions, on the other hand, the performance is sufficient.
The battery capacity is 417.6 watt hours. This is a mediocre value, which according to the manufacturer should be sufficient for a range of between 30 and 120 kilometers – depending on driving style and support level.
The derailleur from Shimano offers a total of 21 gears, the disc brakes work mechanically, i.e. via a Bowden cable. The suspension fork comes from SR Suntour and has a travel of 100 millimeters. The e-bike weighs 22.3 kilograms, the permissible total weight is 120 kilograms.
All in all, with the Lidl mountain bike you get a very simply equipped bike. For the price of 999 euros you still get a pretty decent bike that is sufficient for small tours, even off tarmac roads. If you want to go on difficult terrain or demanding trails, you should use a higher-quality e-MTB.

The Zundapp e-mountain bike costs 999 euros at Lidl. The manufacturer’s recommended retail price is 2,099 euros, with other dealers prices starting at 1,049.05 euros.
