It is a state-of-the-art testing laboratory with more than 25 testing stations and five climate chambers covering approximately 10,000 square meters

E.ON is investing heavily in its electromobility solutions business to respond to the expansion of public and private charging infrastructure in Germany and Europe.

At the new location in Essen, E.ON tests and studies charging solutions for electric vehicles and their intelligent integration into the energy ecosystem.

E.ON Board Member Patrick Lammers said at the opening: ‘We will build at least 1,000 additional public charging stations across Europe every year, thereby accelerating the transformation of traffic and transports. We are therefore ideally positioned for the dynamic development of the electric mobility market. ‘
