Nacon And Kylotonn lost the license WRCrecovered by Electronic Artswho confided to Codemasters the developers ofa new opus soberly titled EA Sports WRC. The recipe does not change, it is still an officially licensed racing and rally game, but the studios wanted to set the bar very high from the outset.
In addition to the launch trailer, to be discovered above, the studios provide an update on all the content of EA Sports WRC :
- The prestige of the official WRC license : by combining the expertise of the DiRT Rally studio with the official WRC license, EA Sports WRC gains in realism with 50 teams from the FIA WRC, WRC2 and WRC Junior championships recreated with precision. The authenticity extends to the locations, with each rally in the 2023 FIA World Rally Championship featuring different weather, season and time of day options. The move to the Unreal Engine allowed the studio to create longer, more detailed and precise stages, with over 600 km of asphalt, gravel and snow included in the game.
- All-new Dynamic Driving System and Co-Driver Notes : Players will benefit from the most authentic handling possible, thanks to the new Dynamic Driving System. Inspired by the DiRT Rally model and drawing on feedback from real drivers, the Dynamic Driving System gives players greater control to tackle dizzying jumps, tight hairpin turns, changing weather conditions and degradation of surfaces. Newcomers can adjust settings to improve their skills before going all out on one of the 13* official FIA World Rally Championship circuits and five real-world inspired venues. In addition to handling innovations, new Co-Driver Notes, with simplified controls for novice drivers, provide a greater sense of realism and elevate the rally experience for both seasoned drivers and those up to the challenge for the first time.
- Join your friends and relive historic moments : Players will feel even more connected with cross-platform competition where up to 32 players can compete on their platform of choice in private lobbies with friends or against the global EA Sports WRC community . Additionally, Clubs return via EA Racenet, adding even more variety to how players compete. Moments, which update daily, allow players to play out scenarios drawn from WRC history, replicating the challenges WRC teams face at each event.
- Build the car of your dreams : Players can jump into the Editor and assemble the car of their dreams, matching their driving style and visual tastes. Start on the production line and select the bodies, mechanical parts and interior design. Once finalized, add customization using the livery editor before testing it against one of the 78 available vehicles from over 60 years of sporting history.
