The iPhone 15 will be the first Apple smartphone to feature a USB-C port. For the occasion, the manufacturer will also provide a charging cable. And according to the latest rumors, the manufacturer has indulged in some fantasies, since each color will have the right to its matching USB-C cable.
While we just learned that the iPhone 15 Pro Max is not expected to arrive until October due to a delay in production lines, new information has just surfaced. As you may know, the iPhone 15 will be the first smartphones from the manufacturer to be equipped with a USB-C port, at least in Europe.
In October 2022, the European Parliament definitively adopted the “universal charger for electronic devices” directive, which therefore forces the Cupertino company to adopt USB-C on its future devices sold on the Old Continent. The iPhone 15, which should land in September 2023 if rumors are to be believed, will therefore be affected by this historic change.
And failing to include a charger in the box (this remains to be confirmed), the apple brand should slip in a USB-C cable. According to several leakers cited by our colleagues from the Android Headlines site, Apple would have taken the opportunity to review the style of its charging cables. Indeed, user Majin Bu claims on X that all iPhone 15 models (all colors combined) will have the right to its matching USB-C cable.

What we also remember is that Apple has also decided to improve the overall quality of its cables. So goodbye to the classic white cables (and rather cheap), the manufacturer would have opted for braided USB-C cables, which are both more resilient and less prone to squirm. Majin Bu’s information was peddled by Kosutami, another reputable leaker, who also claims to have seen samples of these new USB-C cables.
In other words, we should find these cables in each color of the iPhone 15, whether black, white, pink, etc. Furthermore, it should be possible to purchase these colored cables separately. The two previously cited sources only mention the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.
