Sometimes it doesn’t take much to hype a game. For example “from the creators of Celeste”, it instantly sends chills to some. So here, we are very, very happy to have seen this announcement of Earthblade, the new project from Extremely OK Games, expected in 2024 on PC. And even if we haven’t seen much yet. It must be said that stalling it in the middle of the Game Awards ceremony is a bit of cheating.
Unfortunately, not much to eat at the moment. What we do know is that Earthblade will be a 2D action-exploration game coupled with a platformer. All in a still beautiful pixel art world. Word metroidvania was not spoken. But when it promises free exploration, mysteries and intense combat, it’s never far away. While waiting to find out more, we will be delighted to know that Lena Raine is still there to take care of the soundtrack.
