EcoFlow shows us the potential of its technology with three surprising products

EcoFlow, the specialist in energy storage devices, has decided to use its technology in new products. For CES 2023, they are unveiling a plump robot, an air conditioner and a refrigerator.

Do you know EcoFlow? The Chinese brand manufactures various energy storage devices. These include power plants, also known as power station or also electric stations, which can also be charged via solar panels.

Among the popular products there is the EcoFlow Delta 2, the River 2… In fact, the range of products is already very wide. These products offer a solution to various situations: for nomads, it is a transportable source of energy capable of being recharged by solar panels, at home, it can also make it possible not to depend 100% on the external network. To save money, for example.

Finally, there’s no telling when the world will descend into chaos, especially with the Doomsday Clock being 100 seconds past midnight. But, on a less dramatic note, storms and energy crises can lead to power outages.

EcoFlow products were particularly highlighted, with the risk of power cuts in France, the recent winter storm in North America, and especially in the context of the war in Ukraine.

The EcoFlow brand relies on various battery technologies, including LiFePO4 (LFP) batteries. This is exactly the chemical composition of the battery present on the Model 3 Propulsion. This lithium iron phosphate battery allows 3,000 charging cycles before the capacity drops below 80%.

With the aim of diversifying its product portfolio, EcoFlow therefore had three products to announce at CES 2023.

EcoFlow Blade

EcoFlow boasts of having created the world’s first robot lawn mower. We didn’t really understand the subtleties of the terms chosen in the press release, because robot mowers already exist.

Here, the EcoFlow Blade is therefore an autonomous robot mower, capable of mapping a garden and taking care of mowing the lawn in complete autonomy. The mobile application offers the possibility of delimiting areas not to be exceeded, for example, like what is found on robot vacuum cleaners.

The subtlety here is that the Blade is 4G compatible via eSIM to be able to travel long distances beyond Wi-Fi coverage.

EcoFlow Glacier

The EcoFlow Glacier is a portable refrigerator equipped with an integrated ice maker. It produces 18 small ice cubes in just 12 minutes, and can last up to 24 hours (297 Wh) on a single charge to keep food fresh.

Also, as you can see, it can be transported with small wheels. Everything is, of course, connected to the EcoFlow application.

EcoFlow Wave 2

EcoFlow is also launching the second generation of its portable air conditioner, now reversible (it can therefore also heat).

This product can provide up to 5,100 BTUs of cooling power (compared to 4,000 BTUs for the first) and is suitable for small rooms or tents. The heating power is estimated at 6,100 BUT.

The Wave can last up to 8 hours and charge in less than two hours. It can also be powered by solar panels or connected to other charging stations to extend its autonomy. The set weighs 14 kg, which is in fact a transportable air conditioner.

No prices for these products, for the moment, EcoFlow is aiming for availability in spring 2023 for the lawn robot as well as the refrigerator, and this summer 2023 for the air conditioner.
