(Boursier.com) — Econocom entered into exclusive negotiations with the Spanish shipowner Boluda with a view to selling it 100% of the shares of the company Les Abeilles.
Consultation of staff representative bodies on this transfer project is planned in the coming days.
The final completion of this operation, expected for the 2nd quarter of 2024, remains subject to the finalization of the agreements as well as the usual suspensive conditions in this type of transaction, including obtaining the approval of the French authorities.
This sale would allow Econocom to strengthen its financial structure, with a view to implementing its One econocom strategic plan for the period 2024-2028, which was published in mid-November. In particular, it provides for self-financing of its future internal and external growth.
Acquired by the Econocom group in 2020, the company Les Abeilles was reclassified at the end of 2023 as “activities held for sale”, in line with the strategic orientations of the One econocom plan.
