Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni: New premium vacuum cleaner with dock presented

Roborock presented the MaxV Ultra with the S7, and now Ecovacs is also launching its new top vacuum cleaner for 2022. As part of CES 2022, the manufacturer presented the Deebot X1. As with Roborock, there is also fresh technology in it, which is now parked in a new docking station. Ecovacs Deebot X1: Always accessible

The best vacuum robot in 2021 was the Ecovacs Deebot T9 Aivi. In the big test by COMPUTER BILD, the device impressed with its smart laser navigation, rolled accurately and quickly through the rooms and collected a lot of dirt. A smart obstacle detection system called “Aivi” noticed socks or cables lying around while cleaning and skilfully circumnavigated these objects. This year’s successor Ecovacs Deebot X1 can do all of this – and more! Two rapidly rotating mops are now used for scrubbing. This could also remove stubborn stains that the T9 was unable to cope with in the test despite the powerful vibrating plate. For all those who do not want to chase their vacuum robot off to a cleaning attack via Alexa or Google Assistant, the X1 has its own voice assistant “Yiko”. Users do not direct their voice commands to cell phones or smart speakers, but directly to the cleaning assistant.

Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni: The self-sufficient

Nowadays, smart robotic vacuum cleaners find their way around the apartment easily, rarely get stuck under the sofa and independently find their way home to the charging station. Nevertheless, their owners often have to intervene after the cleaning tour so that the dust box does not burst at the seams, the wiping cloth stays clean and there is enough water on board. A new docking station takes care of this annoying work in the X1 in the Omni version. There are three containers in it to free the vacuum cleaner from the dirt that has been collected, to suck off the dirty water and to fill up with fresh mopping water. Everything automatically! The dock also wants to clean and dry the mops independently after the cleaning session. In order for the lush combination to blend in with the living space as discreetly as possible, Ecovacs relies on a simple and chic look that was designed by the Danish design studio Jacob Jensen.

The dock has many functions: charging the robotic vacuum cleaner, cleaning mops, emptying the dust box, storing dirty water, refilling with fresh mopping water.

Ecovacs Deebot X1: prices and availability

Such a lot of design and future technology has no small price: The luxury version Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni with dock should cost a whopping 1,499 euros. Those who want to spend less can opt for the smaller Plus version, which has a “slimmed-down” dock. Cost: 1,099 euros. Both devices in the new family should be available from April 2022.
