Floor cleaning becomes a “luxurious experience”, promises Ecovacs. It could work, because the X1 Omni vacuum and floor mopping robot automatically refills with water and even dries its own cleaning rag.

- As part of the CES, Ecovacs announces the introduction of the multifunctional vacuum and floor mopping robot X1 Omni for Germany.
- The robot will go on sale in April 2022.
- The model vacuums, wipes, removes dust, dries, speaks and automatically refills with water.
Even the first general-purpose robot, Beomni 1.0, presented at CES could be jealous. According to the manufacturer Ecovacs, the vacuum cleaner robot X1 Omni is a real all-rounder.

The device should not only look good – the design comes from the Danish industrial designer Jacob Jensen – but basically take over everything annoying that has to do with floor cleaning. According to the manufacturer, the fully automatic all-in-one model vacuums and wipes, it removes dust and dirt, and it cleans and dries the mops. The robot even refills clean water from a container at the base station.
In addition, the floor cleaner has its own voice assistant called Yiko, which should do without third-party providers such as Alexa, Siri or Google Assistant and which can accept natural voice commands.
Price and availability
