Purchasing a robot vacuum cleaner can save a lot of time without having to forego a clean home. Models with an additional wiping function are particularly popular. Alongside Roborock and Dreame, Ecovacs is one of the best-known manufacturers on the market. The Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni in particular is currently one of the best vacuum robots on the market.

With the slim, angular design, the manufacturer promises more efficient cleaning in corners and edges. The robot vacuum cleaner also comes with an all-in-one OMNI station, which is intended to ensure fully automatic cleaning of the robot.
All functions at a glance
With the Deebot X2 Omni, Ecovacs is bringing a new flagship onto the market that aims to impress with new functions and improvements. Below we will take a closer look at the individual features and special features of the new Deebot X2 Omni.
The new square design
The Deebot However, the robot vacuum cleaner has gained some weight because, according to the manufacturer, it weighs around five kilograms, while the Deebot X1 Omni is slightly lighter at 4.4 kilograms.
The most noticeable difference between the previous Ecovacs models is the square format, which the manufacturer chose due to the improved cleaning of edges and corners. With the narrow profile, cleaning under furniture such as sofas, beds or cupboards should not be a problem. With the square shape, the front roller brushes have increased in size, allowing the mopping mats to move a full 30 millimeters closer to the corners.

Great performance
The Deebot percent higher performance than its predecessor. Whether the increase in performance can be recognized through cleaning will only be shown in a corresponding long-term test.
The OZMO Turbo 2.0 rotary mopping system uses rotating mops to ensure thorough cleaning of even stubborn stains. The predecessor was already one of the best on the market with its wiping performance.
Navigation and smart functions
TrueMapping 3.0 technology is used for navigation. This enables a 210-degree view via the built-in LiDAR sensors as well as intelligent obstacle avoidance even for objects up to ten meters away. With the help of AIVI 3D 2.0 artificial intelligence, the robot vacuum cleaner can also adapt to different cleaning scenarios and environments.
With the improved YIKO 2.0 voice assistant, the robot vacuum cleaner can be easily operated using voice commands. Alternatively, individual settings, cleaning plans and more can be adjusted in the free app. You can also access the real-time video via your smartphone because, like the previous model, the Deebot X2 Omni not only uses the front camera for object recognition, but also offers the option of video surveillance.

Battery capacity
In our test report on the Deebot The new Deebot X2 Omni offers a maximum operating time of up to 210 minutes in quiet suction mode. According to the manufacturer, the Li-ion battery with a capacity of 6,400 milliamp hours can be fully charged within five hours.
Please note that the battery life depends largely on the suction and wiping power set. If the battery runs out in between, the device returns to the station, charges the battery and then continues cleaning.
The fully automatic all-in-one OMNI station
The automatic cleaning station of the vacuum and mopping robot has also been slimmed down. It measures 39 x 44 x 52 centimeters and is therefore around six centimeters smaller than its predecessor. The volume of the fresh water tank is four liters, while the dirty water tank has a capacity of 3.5 liters.
The fully automatic cleaning solution can wash wipes with 55 degrees Celsius water and dry them with hot air, empty the dust container and refill clean water into the robot. Apart from the form factor, there have been no changes to the Deebot X1 Omni.
Further improvements to the previous model
In our test report on the Deebot X1 Omni we would have liked a lifting mechanism for the mops – now the manufacturer is integrating such an intelligent car mop lifting system in the new Deebot
If a carpet is detected or an area that has already been cleaned is passed over, the robot raises the mop by 15 millimeters. The Deebot X2 Omni can also overcome obstacles up to 22 millimeters high. For example, cables, door sills or carpets do not pose a problem for the robot vacuum cleaner.
