Ed Sheeran and his US colleague Snoop Dogg smoked marijuana together until the British musician “couldn’t see anything anymore”.

Ed Sheeran, 32, has shared his hazy memories of smoking marijuana with Snoop Dogg, 51, backstage after a live show in Australia. The singer-songwriter told Monday’s issue of Conan O’Briens (60) Podcast “Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend” about some experiences with other celebrities, including the backstage experience after the rapper’s performance in Melbourne in March.

“I smoked with Snoop Dogg”

After the British musician attended the concert with his wife Cherry Seaborn and mother-in-law, Sheeran went backstage to meet the US star. Since Snoop is known to be an avid marijuana smoker, Sheeran didn’t want to miss the opportunity to share a joint with the California-based artist. “I don’t actually smoke at all. I was in the locker room and she [rauchten] just one joint at a time. “At some point I thought I had to do it, just to be able to say I smoked with Snoop Dogg,” he recalled.

The “Perfect” singer then described how he and Snoop talked before the “Drop It Like It’s Hot” rapper offered him some of the drug. “We had a good conversation. So I took a little bit, and I thought, ‘I don’t feel bad, this is good. Then I smoked some more, and some more, and some more… I remember “I just remembered looking at him and thinking, ‘I can’t see anything right now,'” he added as O’Brien and the studio audience laughed.

Own drug experiences

Earlier this year, Sheeran shared insight into the extent of his past drug use ahead of the release of his Disney+ documentary series The Sum of it All. After seeing his friends using various drugs, the singer also started using them. “And then [habe ich] tried it. And then it became a habit that you did once a week and then once a day and then twice a day and then without alcohol. There were bad experiences,” he told Rolling Stone.
