Ed Sheeran has also made it to the top of the German charts with his new record “-“. The Toten Hosen land in second place.

Music superstar Ed Sheeran (32) is also celebrating success in the charts with his new album. The full-length “-” (“Subtract”), which was released on May 5th, climbed to the top of the Official German Charts, determined by GfK Entertainment, immediately after its release.

Already the fourth number one album for Ed Sheeran

The singer-songwriter, who played his only German concert of the year in Berlin about a month ago, is at the top of the German album charts for the fourth time – and well ahead of the runners-up.

In place behind Sheeran is the re-release Buy Me! der Toten Hosen, which was released again in an anniversary edition on May 10, 1993, 30 years after it was first published. Singer-songwriter Reinhard Mey (80) makes his debut with “In Vienna – The Song Maker” in third place. The long player is a live recording of the last concert of Mey’s previous arena tour. Pop singer Olaf der Flipper (77) made it to fourth place in the charts with his album “Dankeschön”, singer-songwriter Lea (30) completed the top 5 with “Bülowstrasse”.

On the other hand, there is again no change at the top of the German single charts: Udo Lindenberg (76) and Apache 207 (25) are at the top for the 13th time with “Komet”. Newcomer and “DSDS” star Katja Krasavice (26) takes second place with her latest track “Frauen”. reezy & Luciano with “Expensive Shit”, again Apache 207 with “Ninety” and Yung Yury & Damn Yury with “Tabu” are on the other places.
