PARIS (Reuters) – EDF management and unions reached a national wage agreement on Friday, which will be subject to staff consultation, following a weeks-long industrial action that notably affects the nuclear fleet of the French electrician.
A spokesperson for the group specified that the negotiations had resulted in a draft salary agreement, which must now be ratified by the trade unions and submitted to the personnel on each site. A vote will take place on the sites concerned to decide whether or not to continue the strike, which began on September 13.
“To be brief, in addition to the measures, we would obtain a minimum of 200 euros for all,” a CGT representative told Reuters.
The draft agreement will be open for signature on Monday until Thursday, October 27, the latest deadline, a union source said.
Among the management’s proposals, an overall automatic salary increase on January 1, 2023 of 2.3% on average. To this would be added individual advancements of 2.45%.
In addition, for management, a bonus of 2,600 euros (200 euros over 13 months) is decided. For the lowest salaries, the management offers either this bonus of 2,600 euros, or to go up an additional level (NR, level of remuneration), specifies another union source.
