PARIS, July 6 (Reuters) – EDF shares were volatile on the Paris Stock Exchange on Wednesday after French Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne announced that the state would take a 100% stake in the electrician.

The title EDF, which was down about 5% before the declaration of general policy by Elisabeth Borne before the National Assembly, jumped 8% immediately after the announcement of a nationalization of the group.

But a few minutes after this declaration, the action turned down, yielding around 13:45 GMT more than 5%, before starting to rise again by around 2.5% around 13:55 GMT.

EDF, 83.9% owned by the State, is faced with the difficulties of its nuclear fleet and has repeatedly revised down its outlook for nuclear production in France for 2022. (Written by Claude Chendjou, edited by Jean- Stephane Brosse)
