Amazon’s new in-house eero devices are now available in Germany and that means: Mesh WLAN on the WiFi 6 standard with over 100 simultaneous connections and gigabit speed – for gamers who may also manage a fleet of smart home devices, sounds like Easter and Christmas at the same time.
After all, a next-gen console on the VRR-capable television isn’t of much use if the weak WLAN is already causing the screen to shake, and even a large multi-room chorus of echo speakers quickly becomes too much for the generic router.
The new eero mesh WLAN systems from Amazon are said to offer an ideal solution to all these contemporary problems. These should be set up in minutes and be able to cover huge areas.
Mesh WLAN: The new eero systems from Amazon can do this
The eero Pro 6E is the manufacturer’s first Wi-Fi 6E-capable mesh WLAN system to support network speeds of up to 2.3 Gbps. Assuming a high Internet bandwidth, there should also be smooth online gaming and UHD streaming right into the last corner of the apartment and on the roof terrace.
The more than 100 simultaneous device connections and the built-in Zigbee hub should be of particular interest to smart home operators who, with an ordinary router, constantly lose the connection at all corners, even with a good Internet connection.
This is what the new eero mesh systems cost
The eero products are available in different versions from 119 euros. The eero Pro 6E is the flagship of the series and, according to Amazon, can handle up to 2.3 gigabits. It also records the new 6Hz band and, as a future solution for VR and 8K streaming, has a proud unit price of 359 euros. The little sister model for 229 euros does not have 6 Ghz, but otherwise offers largely the same features and the same room coverage.

The smaller gigabit variant is the eero 6+, which can still play on 75 devices at the same time and is available as a single piece from 149 and covers a little less space at 140 square meters. If you don’t have or need gigabit speed, the 500 Mbit/s compatible eero 6 devices, which are the cheapest at 119 euros, will do.
