Konami could no longer fight against the FIFA (EA Sports FC) ofElectronic Artshe therefore decided a few years ago to change his mind by transforming his franchise PES in eFootball, a football game free-to-play which is entitled to updates every season. A recipe that works.
This week, Konami announces thateFootball has 750 million downloads on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, iOS and Android. To celebrate, the Japanese studio is launching several in-game events:
“Epic: Lionel Messi” is back!
As part of the campaign, eFootball™ Ambassador Lionel Messi’s three Epic cards, which celebrate some of his most memorable performances, will be re-released. These three cards are:
- Big Time May 27, 2009;
- Big Time May 6, 2015;
- Big Time December 13, 2022.
750 million downloads campaign
From April 25 to May 16, users can log on to eFootball™ and enjoy various events and items to celebrate this important milestone.
During these three weeks, users will receive login bonuses with a total of 70 eFootball coins, 7 position training programs and 7 skill training programs.
They will also be able to receive a Lewandowski FC Barcelona card as a login gift – a great way to increase your Dream Team’s goals.

FC Internazionale Milano victory campaign
To celebrate the on-ground success of its partners, KONAMI is organizing an in-game campaign from April 25 to May 2. It will include a special list of cards featuring players from FC Internazionale Milano.
Users can receive one of these cards as a login gift, and two more through lucky deals to be won during the themed event. All regular roster players will be upgraded to an “A” class rating.
