Eight years later, Ken Levine and Ghost Story Games announce the strange Judas

The first game from Ghost Story Games is therefore called Judas and will be the first title made by veteran Ken Levine since BioShock Infinite in 2013. An eternity to come out of the oven this story-driven single-player shooter, which bears some pretty striking similarities to BioShock, although the focus is on a gallery of disparate characters. As it stands, the information on the game remains deliberately cryptic and only reveals these few lines: “A disintegrating vessel. A desperate plan to escape. You are the mysterious and troubled Judas. Your only hope for survival is to make or break alliances with your worst enemies. Will you work together to fix what you’ve broken, or will you let the flames engulf it all?

The Kiss of Judas

As a reminder, this curious project hides an even more tortured production, according to information from Jason Schreier who split an investigation for Bloomberg at the very beginning of the year. Ken Levine is described as a talented person but also a perfectionist and with a delicate ego. His skills as a manager would indeed not be at the level of the creative capacities that we know him to be, so that Ghost Story Games will have taken 8 years before being able to present this first preview to the public of the Game Awards 2022. disproportionate ambitions compared to a deliberately modest workforce, to the creative vision of Ken Levine described as far too fluctuating and to too frequent turnover of staff.

Judas does not yet have a release but will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Steam and Epic Games Store. Although funded by Take-Two Interactive, the game will be published directly by Ghost Story Games.
