(AOF) – Ekinops, provider of telecommunications solutions dedicated to telecommunications operators and companies, announces a major update to the general conditions of sale of the edge-to-cloud platform Nuvla, published by its subsidiary SixSq SA. The new simplified Terms and Conditions and End User License Agreement (EULA) facilitate business relationships between application providers, customers and end users.

They also help network service providers and system integrators generate additional recurring revenue at the network edge (edge) and in the cloud.

Nuvla is a recognized SaaS (Software as a Service) digital platform and a B2B marketplace for the industrialization and automation of Edge applications in “container” format and equipment management.

Nuvla enables the deployment of these business applications on Ekinops OneAccess network equipment, as well as on a wide range of certified hardware platforms.

The Threat of Open Technology, RAN

Equipment manufacturers will have to face this threat in the next few years. This new architecture consists in replacing the traditional antennas by software allowing more interoperability thanks to the cloud. Telecom operators will thus be able to reinforce innovation and increase their choice of suppliers. They will also be able to have access to more services and flexibility for network deployment and management costs which should decrease. For the moment, none of the major operators has switched to this new technology. Nevertheless, the freedom of choice of suppliers is a decisive element, underlined by the decision of Europe and the United States to sanction the Chinese Huawei for national security reasons.
