Elden Ring DLC: You should be able to defeat your opponents with these new types of weapons

• There will be eight new weapon types in the Elden Ring DLC.
• Hidetaka Miyazaki has already revealed five of them.
• These should include, among other things, “Throwing Daggers” and “Martial Arts”.

The expansion (“DLC”) Shadow of the Erdtree will be released for Elden Ring on June 21, 2024. Various enemies and bosses await you on a new map that is supposed to be even larger than Limgrave.

In addition, there are apparently also new weapons that you can find. As Dexerto reports based on a post from Famitsu, you should be able to find a total of eight new weapon types in the Land of Shadows (DLC area).

New weapon types

According to Dexerto, Hidetaka Miyazaki, the president of FromSoftware, has already revealed five of the new weapon types. This includes, among other things, a new type of combat.

• Odachi – These are said to be “pretty classic and large Japanese katanas”.
• “Dueling Shields” – Shield with two blades on both ends. Apparently can be used offensively as well as defensively.
• “Gyakute ken” – Swords with a reverse handle, where the blades point towards the elbow.
• “Throwing Dagger” – Throwing daggers that you can permanently equip. This will turn all of your attacks into throws.
• “Martial Arts” – With this new, apparently weaponless type of fighting, you can, among other things, perform spin kicks.
